One-Tailed
What: An installation that ridicules the massive harvesting of user data, by having a fish create fake statistics.
Why: If you were on the internet today, your online presence has probably been tracked and analysed. Behavioural statistics govern our web environment. Even the tiniest cursor movement gets measured, recorded, and valued. ‘One-tailed’ is designed as a protest against this practice.
How: This little goldfish perverts tracking mechanisms and methods. Its movements are captured by a camera and converted into cursor actions on the screen. Close enough to human actions, its swimming manoeuvres generate false statistics, disrupting the system in a gentle act of anarchy.
