A Space For Lingering
What: A place to lie down and do nothing, encouraging us to spend time and tune into our own thoughts.
Why: The information age is characterised by overload and immediacy. Ever-accelerating technologies dictate the pace of life. We have grown accustomed to racing from one thing to the next and seem to have forgotten how to sit down, do nothing and reflect.
How: Headphones available in the space play a resonant soundscape generated from the surrounding noise that is morphed through a series of delays. An accompanying video uses slow textual iterations to further provide a backdrop for people to linger in their own, mental space.
