A Kitchenette

What: A modular kitchenette composed of the most commonly used elements: stove, sink and work surface.

Why: Shared kitchens are increasingly common, and many millennials facing traffic in shared accommodation would rather wait until this space is empty, or start using small stoves and microwaves in their bedrooms. This kitchenette provides a movable and adaptable alternative to the standard kitchen, which is designed for nuclear families rather than for shared use.

How: Arranged concentrically and attached to a central support, the flexible elements can be reconfigured for different needs and scenarios, allowing users to cook at the same time as their neighbours and not feel like they are being intrusive.

“To share space, we need to preserve our individuality”
