Brum

‘Brum’ – Bram’s rum – is Bram van Oostenbruggen’s new concept for a spirits bottle. Beverages like rum and whisky gain in quality as they age in oak barrels. As some of the most volatile compounds evaporate through the wood, the taste becomes more rounded, with less of a burn. Called the angel’s share, Bram brings this process from the distillery cellar into people’s homes: replacing a section of the glass bottle with a wooden panel lets the taste develop in your own living room. It enriches the experience as you see, smell and taste how your drink unfolds over time.
