With most storage systems or cabinets, their function is in plain view. This is not the case with ‘Cache’ by Yara van Tilburg. Here, there is not a door or drawer in sight. Instead, a ring with countless folds of soft felt can hold, or hide, all manner of personal belongings, from phones to keys, mail or remote controls. Inspired by the classic ballet tutu, this wall fixture and table is designed to act as a visual centrepiece in its own right. Incorporating two colours, the textile ring can be turned around to reveal a different shade, giving interiors an instant update.
