Although the Dutch have a rich bicycle tradition, almost all bikes are produced in China nowadays because of the low labour costs. Bob Schiller wants to revive the local industry and bring production back to the Netherlands. Het designed EPO: an all-Dutch city bike that is easily assembled in a completely automated and therefore low-cost process. Its frame is pressed out of two aluminium sheets and spot-welded together without any expensive add-ons. Stripped of all extras, this powerful must-have with a carbon belt drive is practically maintenance free!
