Most of the electric scooters riding around here have been made in China. They look like conventional motor scooters, but the internal combustion engine has given way to an electrical one. Their technical properties are outdated and their durability leaves a lot to be desired. Bert Govers wanted to create a contemporary vehicle and reduced electric driving to its essence. ‘A battery, a hub engine on the rear axle and a cable to connect the two. These crucial parts of electric driving have formed the backbone of the design process.’ Nuage (French for cloud, the birthplace of lightning and electricity) consists of a static prototype and some accompanying visuals.
