A SINK TO GIVE WATER ITS OWN SHAPE
Water has no shape of its own; it can only follow the shape of
another material. Fascinated by this fact, Sophie Mensen has
designed the Watertable, in which the water forms its own wash
basin. If you stand right in front of the tap, the water will begin to
flow, and a wash basin will slowly begin to form because of the
weight of the water. The longer you remain in front of the tap, the
bigger the bowl becomes. The water will run through a little hole in
the middle. Take a sideways step and the elastic top will pull back
into the flat surface it was originally, as if nothing had happened.
