What happens on a Sunday afternoon in the Netherlands, Brigitt Albers wanted to find out. So for five months she observed the Dutch on their Sunday afternoons between 2.00 am and 3.00 am, and made a film about it. Sunday Afternoons shows the range of leisure time activities, with culture and passion playing an important role. The Dutch landscape shows us the environment where the choreography of movement takes place. Albers: ‘Observing people’s leisure time is a voyage of discovery into something very near to me, but at the same time just as unknown as a faraway destination.’
